When someone asks ChatGPT for a mortgage broker, does your name come up?
More of your customers are asking AI tools instead of Googling. If ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI don't mention you, or get you wrong, you're losing business before anyone reaches your website.
The GEO Audit shows you exactly what AI search says about your business right now, where you're being left out, and how to fix it. Fixed price. Ten working days. No retainer required.
Based on current sources, these brokers are frequently recommended for self-employed applicants:
- Competitor one — recommended
- Competitor two — recommended
- Your business — not mentioned
This is the conversation your customers are already having. The audit shows you the real version.
Most businesses have no idea what AI says about them
Search is changing faster than most businesses realise. People used to type a question into Google and scroll through blue links. Now they ask ChatGPT or read Google's AI summary at the top of the page and never scroll at all.
That's fine if the AI recommends you. It's a problem if it recommends a competitor, or worse, gets your business wrong. Most companies have no idea what these tools actually say about them. This audit tells you.
The evidence, the cause, and the fix order
What AI actually says about you
20 real customer questions run across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. 80 checks, with the exact answers in writing and screenshots as evidence.
The gaps
Where you're invisible, and where you're being described incorrectly. For regulated firms, that includes anything AI claims about you that you couldn't legally claim yourself.
The competitor picture
Who's getting named instead of you, scored on the same questions, and what they're doing that you're not.
Why it's happening
Your site reviewed against 22 checks covering how AI systems access, read and trust it. This is the part that connects the results to the causes.
A fix list, ranked by impact
What to tackle first, what can wait, and what each fix should change. Quick wins separated from the bigger jobs.
A 30-minute walkthrough call
I talk you through all of it, so you leave with a plan, not just a PDF.
Three steps, ten working days
-
Quick kickoff
You fill in a short intake form: your business, your services, your competitors, and the questions a customer would actually ask. Takes about twenty minutes. The clock starts when it comes back.
-
I run the tests
All 20 questions across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, plus the 22-point review of your site. Then I dig into why the results look the way they do.

Report and walkthrough
You get the full report, and we spend 30 minutes on a call going through the findings and the fix order.
Built for finance first
Lenders, brokers, and regulated businesses where accuracy and trust aren't optional. I spent seven years running digital and UX at a specialist mortgage lender, so I understand the compliance side and I won't suggest anything that'll get you in trouble with the regulator.
That said, the audit works for any SME that wants to know where it stands in AI search. If you're not sure whether it fits, book a call and I'll tell you straight.
One fixed fee. No lock-in.
Covers 20 questions, up to three named competitors and ten key pages. If you want ongoing help once you've seen the results, we can talk about that. But the audit is built to stand on its own, and plenty of the fixes you'll be able to do yourself.
I did this in-house before it had a name
I'm Marcus Taylor. I ran digital and UX at Pepper Money, a specialist mortgage lender, for seven years, and I started working on GEO before most agencies had heard the term. I wrote the book on it, literally: Found by AI, a guide to getting recommended when customers ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI.
Asked before you have to ask
What's GEO?
Generative Engine Optimisation. SEO is about getting found on Google. GEO is about getting found and recommended when people ask AI tools. Related, but not the same job.
Isn't this just SEO with a new name?
No. Some of the groundwork overlaps, but AI engines pick and summarise answers differently from how Google ranks pages. What earns you a mention in ChatGPT isn't always what earns you a top Google result.
What do you need from me?
About twenty minutes. A short intake form covering your services, your best customers, the competitors you care about and up to ten key pages. The ten working days start when the form comes back.
I'm FCA-regulated. Is this a compliance risk?
The opposite. Part of the audit is checking whether AI tools are making claims about your business that you couldn't legally make yourself. I spent seven years in a regulated lender, so anything I recommend is written with financial promotions rules in mind.
What if the audit finds I'm doing fine?
Then you'll know, in writing, and you can stop worrying about it. I'd rather tell you that than invent problems.
What happens after the audit?
Plenty of the fixes you can do yourself with the notes in the report. If you'd rather hand it over, there are two options: a fixed-price sprint to implement the quick wins, or a monthly retainer that covers the full list and quarterly re-testing. No pressure either way — the audit stands alone.
How soon can we start?
As soon as the kickoff's done. Book a call and we'll sort the details.
